The Houlton High School Jazz Program features opportunities for students to perform in various groups.  The Jazz Ensemble is a non auditioned group and open to all students.  The Jazz Band is a select ensemble that is the main competition group.  Over the past years the Jazz Band has received Gold awards at the state instrumental jazz festival and has been in the top three various festival years for their division.  Students may also form jazz combos as interest develops.

The Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Band performs at the Night of Jazz in the spring of the year and also at various fundraisers as needed.
